DESCRIPTION:The Madison County Covered Bridge Festival is a time-honored tradition and celebration of our history and heritage!  Each year since 1970\, county residents gather under the brilliant hues of autumn on the second full weekend in October to celebrate the historic covered bridges on the Courthouse Square in Winterset.
