DESCRIPTION:Iowa State Extension and Outreach is partnering with The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to offer the Volunteer Tax Assistance (VITA) program. -Free tax help to individuals\, families\, and small businesses filing on a Schedule C -VITA is available to people who generally make $64\,000 or less\, and provides specialized assistance for persons with disabilities\, the elderly\, and limited English-speaking taxpayers -Not only free\, but they are also a reliable and a trusted source for preparing tax returns. All VITA/TCE volunteers who prepare returns must take and pass tax law training that meets or exceeds IRS standards. Appointments are required.
