Creative Writing with Sally Wilke

Sally Wilke has been writing since childhood, including detailed diaries during adolescence and daily journals for the past forty-five years. She writes for herself, her family and friends, and for publication. Her first two books were written with her sister and described ways to create meaningful holiday experiences. When working in the substance abuse field, she wrote articles on prevention; when operating a youth services agency, she wrote stories about adolescents. See the pattern? Today, she writes monthly newsletter and newspaper articles as well as weekly sermons. Her book, Waiting for Good News, will be released in August, 2018. This brief Wellness Wednesday Workshop will provide opportunities for participants to recognize and review their current writing practices. Experience your own sense of shalom as you explore journaling, letter writing, and other everyday forms of creative writing. There will be time for a little practice and discussion.
