Hanging of the Greens
"Hanging of the Greens" is an annual celebration of the beginning of Advent, when the congregation takes part in 'dressing' of the church with poinsettias, garland, tree decorations, candles, and 'sparkle'! Christmas carols are sung, the Christmas story is read from the Bible, Christmas legends are told and the festive evening concludes by singing Silent Night in candlelight.
