Indigo Dyeing
Explore the plant science of indigo with fiber artist, Maggie Howe. Indigo is a plant dye used to create beautiful shades of blue. Learn the history of indigo and the science of vat dyes followed by a demonstration. Create your own custom indigo-dyed silk scarf and cotton handkerchief (provided). Participants are invited to bring an additional item to dye (article of clothing, fiber, or fabric). Don't forget to bring your beverage of choice and a snack for an evening of fun.

Class fee is $35 for Winterset art center members and $40 for non-members. Advance registration is required.
