Join us Saturday, June 11 at the Winterset Public Library for a community ArtFest. Gifted, local artists and artisans will be showcasing and demonstrating their work, and some will include hands-on activities. They will also have a few pieces of their artwork available for sale. This event is free of charge and is for all ages. This exciting program is fully sponsored by Friends of the Winterset Public Library. This event will lead us to several June activities for an international art competition. Three universities are participating in the competition -- Iowa State University (Ames IA), Ball State University (Muncie IN), and Dalhousie University (Halifax, Nova Scotia). The architecture and design students have been working all semester on concepts for public artworks for the Winterset Public Library, and they will soon submit their works to a jury of experts to decide on the winning entry.
