We are seeking a highly motivated BMW/Mercedes Automotive Technician to join our team as the lead technician. The responsibilities of this position include performing electronic, electrical, and mechanical diagnostics, as well as conducting repairs on mechanical systems, engines, transmissions, chassis, HVAC, and brake systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience as a diagnostic technician for BMW or Mercedes. Proficiency in using various diagnostic scanners and programming platforms is essential, along with a confident approach to taking on new challenges.

Our shop is air-conditioned and located in a small-town setting.
Responsibilities include:
· Expertly diagnose and repair both standard and complex automotive vehicle systems.
· Effectively communicate with advisors and customers about necessary vehicle repairs.
· Utilize a digital tablet device to efficiently clock in and out of assigned jobs.
· Prepare detailed estimates for required parts and services for the advisor to confidently present to clients.
· Exhibit strong self-motivation and a commitment to professional growth, aspiring to take on a lead technician role and contribute positively as a team member.
· Clock in and out of assigned jobs on digital tablet device
· Create an estimate of needed parts and service for the advisor to sell to client.
· Supply self-motivation and desire to grow and train as a technician and team member.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED plus completion of Vocational Training before hire. Example- UTI, DMACC
Experience Requirements:
- Must have 5+ years of diagnostic experience as an BMW/Mercedes Automotive Technician. 3+ years’ experience with European and/or Asian brands.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here represent the minimum requirements that must be met by any applicant to successfully perform this job’s essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the Automotive Technician must:
· Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
- Be able to work with tools on vehicles raised above their head.
- Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair.
- Have the needed skills to use hand-tools efficiently
- Walk/stand for most of the workday.
- Drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Keep a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
- Efficiently navigate a computer.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to study and complete additional ASE testing, if not already certified.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes – in the classroom and in the shop.
- Must have worked or be employed in a dealership setting and are manufacturer-trained/certified in a minimum of one brand.
- Must be adaptable, reliable, and responsible.
- Dependable, strong work ethic.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Must provide an adequate set of personal tools.
- Must be fluent in Shop Management System operation and have excellent communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with dependable transportation to and from work.
- Insurable: Our insurance requires a clean driving record for employment and will conduct a background check before hiring.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and agree to future drug testing as requested.
