The Wallace Centers of Iowa (WCI) is seeking a Garden Production Manager who has experience in vegetable/fruit production. This non-profit organization (www.wallace.org) carries on the Wallace family legacy of connecting food, land and people. The two historic locations - the Wallace Farm near Orient and the Wallace House in Des Moines - offer educational programs and community services, produce fruits and vegetables, and provide locally sourced meals. This position is based at the rural Orient location.
Qualifications:  Experience in vegetable/fruit gardening; experience with small equipment such as tillers, mowers, small farm tractor and equipment/attachments; good communication skills; and creative problem solving ability. Supervisory and greenhouse experience is a plus.

• Salary Range:  $46,000 to $52,000 depending on experience
