Des Moines-Winterset Memorials is seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic, and dependable full-time Monument Installer to handle the preparation and installation of granite memorial monuments in cemeteries. This position is based out of our Winterset location.

This role includes digging foundations, placing finished monuments, and ensuring each installation meets high-quality standards. This is a hands-on, physical position that involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires a strong commitment to completing tasks with precision and care.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive to cemetery gravesites to install monuments, follow maps, diagrams, and written specifications
• Dig trench for foundation using mini-excavator and/or hand tools
• Mix and pour concrete/mortar
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface
• Remove the monument from the truck bed and guide it onto the foundation using skids, hoist, or truck crane
• Set monument in place, according to layout or pattern
• Hand-polish and/or machine-polish memorials
• Clean and repair memorials as required
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of company vehicles
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality according to your assigned schedule
• Other duties as needed or required

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and minimum of one-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to operate work-related machinery including excavator, truck-mounted crane, and hand tools
• Able to work in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift to 70 lbs.
• Must possess current CDL A or be motivated to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
• Be insurable
• Must be reliable, professional, and be able to follow instructions
