About Us

Madison County Conservation is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the county’s natural resources while providing meaningful outdoor recreation and environmental education opportunities for residents and visitors of all ages. The Conservation Board manages Madison County’s parks, trails, natural areas, and conservation facilities, ensuring these spaces remain accessible, sustainable, and enjoyable for generations to come.

Through stewardship, recreation, and hands-on learning experiences, Madison County Conservation connects people with nature and promotes a healthy, vibrant community. Programs, events, and outdoor experiences are offered year-round, encouraging exploration, conservation awareness, and lifelong appreciation of the natural world.

Office hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with staff providing evening and weekend services throughout the park system during much of the year.
